The Episcopal Church in Hilltown, PA

Sundays at Good Shepherd

10 am - Holy Eucharist (Rite II) with music

9:30 am - Holy Eucharist with healing prayers

Worship at Good Shepherd

We are an Episcopal church and we follow the traditional form of worship found in the Book of Common Prayer, but most people  from Protestant, Roman Catholic, and Evangelical backgrounds feel comfortable with our worship style. In a unique way, we offer liturgical worship with Holy Eucharist including  a biblically inspired sermon in a relaxed manner.

Liturgical ministers

Lay members serve as acolytes, lectors, chalice bearers, altar guild members, ushers/greeters, and musicians. Click here to see the current schedule.

Good Shepherd Singers

The choir supports congregational singing by learning the music in advance, sings anthems during Holy Eucharist twice a month, and provides special music for Christmas, Easter, and other feasts. Rehearsals take place most Sunday mornings from September through June.

Good Shepherd Ringers

The handbell choir enhances our worship through instrumental music. It helps to be able to read music and have prior experience playing an instrument. Rehearsals usually take place Wednesday evenings September through June.

Sunday School

Sunday School is available for children age 3 through Grade 6 in a “one-room schoolhouse” setting. Children gather for an opening activity and participate in lessons suited to their age level. They join their families in church for communion. Our teenagers are welcomed by the parish community as full participants in worship and service.
