Book Sale FAQ
WHAT ARE THE DATES FOR THE 2019 BOOK SALE?
Saturday, June 1: 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Sunday, June 2: 12 noon - 3 p.m.
Friday, June 7: 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Saturday, June 8: 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
When do you begin accepting donations?
If you would like to donate, we gladly will accept just about anything starting in early March (but no magazines or encyclopedias, please). Follow the "blue arrows" on the signs outside the church directing you to the drop off table.
How much do the books cost?
Pricing is $1.00 for hardback and trade (i.e., larger size) paperbacks, and 50 cents for mass-market (drug store sized) paperbacks. Children's books are only 25 cents each! Matched sets are discounted 50% per volume. Nothing in the sale is priced at more than $1.00, so there are many bargains to be found.
The final day, Saturday June 8 will be a $5.00 Bag Sale. Anything that will fit into a standard paper grocery bag is just $5.00, and you can buy as many bags as you like.
What kinds of books do you sell?
Books for sale will include fiction, non-fiction, children's, audio books, and some antiquarian books. A selection of DVDs and CDs will also be available. Everything is donated, and nothing is picked-over or pre-sold to dealers, so come early for the best selection. Fiction is sorted alphabetically by author, children's by age group, and non-fiction into over 20 categories (history, sports, business, science, music, health, reference, travel, cooking, etc.).
